I decided I was going to make a motto to put at the end of my posts from now on and I thought I would make it Greek since that is what I'm learning right now. So here it is -
Μόνο ο Θεός να τη δόξα!

In English this means - "To God only be the glory!"

2 Samuel 24:2-25 - I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing

How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

I love how God tells us just what to do...if only we would all listen a little more.

"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
Deut 6:6-9

When I read this I thought it was a really good verse for America to here.

1Return, O Israel to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity.
2Take with you words and return to the Lord ; say to him, "Take away all iniquity; accept what is good, and we will pay with bulls the vows of our lips.

Psalm 1:1-6

Psa 1:1-6 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (2) but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (3) He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (4) The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. (5) Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; (6) for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Mathew 5:11-12
