1John 4:7-11 (KJV) - If God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (8) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (9) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. (10) Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (11) Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Heb 13:5-6 (ESV) - What can man do to me?

(5)  Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."  (6)  So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?"

Psalms 78:2-7 (ESV) - I will open my mouth

  (2) I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old,  (3)  things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us.  (4)  We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.  (5)  He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children,  (6)  that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children,  (7)  so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments;
